Materialistically speaking we are all doomed and that is that.

We worship our bodies even as they fall into decay and death.

That is what we are used to doing.

We worship the strength and freedom of youth that ever fades away.

We worship our talents and skills but shows and games are mere distractions.

We worship beauty and romantic love among other sweet addictions.

What would we do with all our heart’s desires?

We are like dogs chasing cars.

We chase our dreams and don’t really know why.

What happens when we don’t get what we want?

What happens when we lose what we love?

Slavery and poverty can become mental states.

Birth, Old Age, Sickness, and Death - over and over again.

To be crushed under the Wheel of Fortune for another round.

We pretend we are immortal.

We pretend we are happy.

We pretend we are safe.

We feign peace and harmony and selflessness.

But we are selfish fear mongers and hope mongers.

We hide from the truth.

We are lost in entertainment.

We act as if the inevitable was absent from our lives.

Our situation is pathetic.

We act as if our gods will protect us .

But we are naked and alone in a vast dark wilderness.

In order to cure the patient we must diagnose the disease.

Know suffering.
