The Moon of Wisdom

The Moon of Wisdom

The moon is a crescent sliver dimming to naught
Guess what? It no longer matters, all you have sought

The quiet darkness calls us to dream and what do we do
but cross from one dream to another.

Moon of Wisdom, for aeons in a stable trance you
plucked us from our folly.

Now we can know of you if only in a delicate way
Your body is bliss and awareness
Flying and dancing in the infinite space of mind

One dark frosty night of meteor showers and dreams
Another of hungry beasts howling in misery and victory

Mesmerized, our folly is our shepherd
Wisdom revealed is not seen

To tangle or untangle, that is the question
and the question is the basis of the quest

She wields a blade to slay our hopes and fears
that keep us bound and so she frees us

The moon is a crescent sliver pouring the mind
of refinement, the nectar of awareness into the
mouth of the goddess.

Ah, just that.
