A Vegetarian's Song

A Vegetarian’s Song

Corpse flesh so easy to avoid. Let go of its lure.
This butchering and slaughter. Pure or impure?
Again easy.
Low carb death enhancer for them then you.
You put a hit on them to steal their bad cholesterol.
Cattlemen sell lives for money. Butchers do the deed.
Like terrorist beheadings with little remorse.
This life. Whose turn to kill and whose to die.
Killers and killed are equally lamentable.
Tied together in the cycle of horror.
Even life and death are an illusion but to who can
see that clearly death does not pose a threat.
Be not a life-force stealer for
Taste? A petty instantaneous enjoyment?
Perhaps maybe better to pray for the animal’s
  spiritual awakening.
Certainly better to order less executions.
Best to be free from such negative connections.
I don’t understand why this view is so hidden.
Top of the food chain. The natural order.
The violence of nature need not be embraced.
Humanocentric. What makes you think you can
only evolve? Look and be logickal.
Avoid literalism. It has ill-fated too many lives.
I can only say it works for me and I still fear
what might await. I fear for you my loves.
Like watching dear ones doom themselves it is.
The staging areas using up the earth and
fouling up the water and sometimes the air.
According to some unknowers the masses of fear and
  confusion brings up natural disasters.
The winds of karma blow in the karmic winds within.
In choices. In desires. In resolutions. In ignor-ance.
Discipline is the ox-goad of us fools.
I will now return to my own inner struggles.
