Once A Shepherd Always Sheepish

Once a Shepherd Always Sheepish

Dissatisfaction     typical yes, but the stagnation
of lonely and confused humans is unnecessary.

I just want to inspire them - not give them hope
     but motion, flow, confidence, joy
They waver, they surge ahead, and fall back

One moment full of vigor, the next out of touch
They give up. They let the short flash of hope fuel them
not considering the future, only entertaining it.

Once in a while there is one otherwise, of course
some other contamination befalls them as does us.

Surround ourselves with fools and we are lured to foolishness
or the loneliness of a touch of wisdom unsharable.

Do you see what I see? I can only wish but I know
the answer. Yet in other ways ye are without my flaws

Afraid of harmless specters we wander in restless caution
attaching strings to our gifts of attention.

To give is to lose, to lose is to share, to share is to touch
by being  in the same boat - delicate companions all

To leap is to create beyond the norm - to go -to do -to be
-from one thought to another we wander in folly

Time goes by in wasted obsessions but the moment that
light appears, an eternity of darkness is gone.
