Garlands of Leaves Conceal Horizons Moon

Garlands of Leaves Conceal Horizons Moon

Blossom snow blows and gathers
Hot and Cold and Wet and Dry mix and mingle and mar and mate
Petty dreams and petty squabbles cobble together lazy duty days
Uncertainties mix with the wonders of the season
I wonder and wish

Old flowering potentials re-emerge
Old forgotten songs return
The changes of life and time away from the haunts of the past makes them fade

Silly hopes and desires keep me up late wondering and wishing
The cool of the day subtly returns
Here when the sun sinks low toward the leaf-hidden horizon
There is a moment of reflection
There is contemplation
And knowledge of the impending dusk

Twilight is the door to the Great Mother of Star-Adorned Space
She wears her jewel ornament moon tonight
And shadows too as she offers a nibble and a milky nipple

Warm rays lie ahead
Spring offers a kind of peace of mind and yet
Strange birdsongs appear

Green will win the day and black the night
Green grows and black shrinks
Programmed emergences are loaded like arrows on the bow of cyclic time
You’re up

Age tires the crickety old bones and we know that this life is just a speck on the vastness
Beauty and awesomeness are just intriguing illusions, nothing more really
Duty and bottomless care are just trained fusions of the vast and profound

Seeds swell, stretch, crack, and dance in the earth and breakthrough to the sky
The hidden below now basks in the sunlit above

I grow old
I wonder and wish
The future chases us as we chase it
And soon enough we are dead
But now we can throw back our weary heads and laugh
Crazy are the ways of life
So let us enjoy them and spread this joy around as we can
