Gaze upon Signs and Fools, Indeed, Signs and Fools
Grandmother hides behind the hill and peers out at me
As I fall back in surprise at the boldness of her full gaze
Sun Time and Moon Time appear and entangle
Running fast I chase the Wheel but still come up short
The charioteers of time hide in the rhythms that only seem to define time as motion
But time remains undefined, the real and the imaginary mingle and disappear into
Possible Universes
Lo and Behold she reappears as a sacred gem adorning a cozy valley
Radiant and Splendid
Calling out to the worldlings to Gaze
Gaze through the Eye of the Moon Needle
Protector of Earth she circles in variable vigil
Bathing in the Nocturnal Sunlight
The Fool on a Limb sets out on a Quest to Seduce Change
Struggling to Tame a Longing Mind he offers Theatrical Folly
But the Stage is Illusion and the Stageless of the Everyday is Ever the Show of Life
So Enter the Temple of Duty, Task, and Home Art with Bold Calmness
Undo the Fetters of longing and neglect
Cease to pry apart the Sacred and the Mundane that long to entwine
Bear a cautious smile and work the work of aeons
Demons cry for time and we give them poison
Then we see that it is we who crave poison and to we we gave poison
Tricked by Unawareness and the clever sorcery of our habit of me
Time reveals this folly as we shirk from impending imbalance
Perhaps the Ferocious Death Chi can work for our release from these bonds
Be then Awake and Undaunted
Time rises, Time roars, Time sighs, and eventually Time sleeps
Wisdom watches and learns to harness the circles
Then may journeys be resonant and synchronous and spontaneously present
Deeper Wisdom knows beyond cycles
May the quiet settled night find you gazing with awareness and one-pointed joy
As the Gem of Autumn rains down cooling rays of imagined worlds
Peace In
